The Olympic skier has said "Yes" to New Jersey Devils hockey star P.K. Subban.
The athletes, who PEOPLE exclusively reported on Friday are newly engaged, opened up about the sweet details of the proposal and ring in an interview with Vogue. "He makes me happy, and he's so positive and energetic".
P.K. added that he opted for an unconventional emerald ring, because he knew how much Lindsey loves them. There are people in life that deserve to be with good people.
Then, this month, Subban got a ring featuring an emerald, Vonn's birthstone, and decided it was time to get down on one knee.
"I was anxious because I knew she would want to be dressed up and not in her pyjamas, and it just so happened she had a business meeting, so she was fully dressed up".
His trade to the New Jersey Devils from the Nashville Predators included a $9 million salary cap - setting a record for the league. "But I'd been married before, so I was pretty hesitant to let myself think that I could find someone that I would want to be married to again".
Vonn and Subban have yet to start planning their wedding.
Subban is excited to show her a city he called home for so long, he said, while meeting with the press Thursday night.
The newly traded New Jersey Devils player posted a video on his Instagram singing to Vonn in the auto part of Beyonce's hit Single Ladies (Put a Ring on it).
"We're in such a busy time right now. They have that person who takes care of them and makes them smile, and she deserves to be with someone who loves her more than anything else in the world, and I do". "I don't want to stress him out because he has a big season coming".
After her divorce, Vonn dated Tiger Woods and National Football League assistant coach Kenan Smith before dating to Subban, going public in June 2018. 'I talk to Lindsey a lot cause she has her charity as well'. "I am definitely not getting married".
In 2011, she separated from fellow skiier Thomas Vonn after four years of marriage.
