"I'm buzzing, I'm really buzzing", Ramsey said as he appeared on The One Show.

It's that time of year again - the new series of "Strictly Come Dancing" is nearly upon us, and the names of the celebs that are taking part this year are beginning to trickle out.

Ramsey has already announced his biggest ever tour next year which will follow his appearance on the dancing contest, while his last show is to be released as a special by Amazon Prime.

David, 49 today, said he had been invited to join Strictly many times, and he was finally convinced by ex-swimmer Mark Foster, a former contestant who told him it was an "amazing experience".

That's the outsiders in the Strictly Come Dancing betting thus far, but who are the favourites? "From Albert Square to the Strictly dance floor - I just can't wait!"

Barton, who plays Honey Mitchell in EastEnders, is a fan of Strictly and said she was "over the moon" to be asked to appear in series 17.

In 2017 Barker released her book Saffron Barker Vs Real Life, which reached number one on the Sunday Times bestsellers list and her popularity has also gained her three successful homeware ranges with Primark.

The news was revealed this morning (Thursday 1st August) on Heart Radio's Breakfast Show.

"I'm looking forward to learning all of the dances", she added.

I'm A Celebrity. Get Me Out Of Here Now! host Chris, was next to reveal himself as he admitted: "As a comedian there are not so many things all the family, including the kids, can watch me on".

The new series, fronted by hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, also has a new face in the professionals line-up in the form of Latin dancer Nancy Xu.

This year's series will see the return of judges Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood and Bruno Tonioli, but Dame Darcey Bussell will be replaced by Motsi Mabuse - sister of Strictly professional Oti.

Xu was a finalist on So You Think You Can Dance? in her home country of China and performed in hit West End and Broadway show Burn The Floor.
