Christie Brinkley's out and her daughter is in.
Brinkley previously told People that her children "laughed" when they found out she'd be competing in the show, but were excited when they heard about the other members of the cast.
The 21-year-old model reportedly had only hours to learn her mother's entire dance routine.
"And then I met with everyone from "Dancing with the Stars" and my partner, and I felt this high of, like, just attacking something that I'm so afraid of seemed so incredible to do", Brinkley-Cook said.
Brinkley-Cook also posed for the 2018 issue.
She continues: "I don't even know that people will care about Sailor Brinkley, but more importantly, at least Christie, at 65, won't have to be dancing around like that".
She added: "There's a little bone at the thumb that usually posts one way". "They were like, 'Oh you're going to do 'Dancing with the Stars?'".
"And she said, 'I know, mom, thanks.' You know, so it's like, I mean, that is like the golden lining". So my thought is that she said, 'Look, Sailor, here's what we we're going to do.
"Well, that looked fake as hell", Williams, 55, said of the footage Good Morning America obtained of Brinkley's fall. She revealed that she had to convince Sailor to replace her because of "stage fright".
"Two minutes to takeoff and my mom calls me and she said, "Sailor, you need to save the day.' And I was like, what do you mean, 'save the day"?"
Celebrities competing in season 28 include Hannah Brown of "The Bachelorette", former White House press secretary Sean Spicer, Lauren Alaina, Ally Brooke, Mary Wilson and athletes Lamar Odom and Ray Lewis.
Season 28 of Dancing With the Stars premieres tonight, Monday, September 16, but it's already making a major casting change.
