Qalandiya, (Alresalah.ps)- Israeli occupation forces on Wednesday morning shot and killed a Palestinian woman at Qalandiya checkpoint, north of Occupied Jerusalem.
Dr. Hanan Ashrawi, a member of the Executive Committee of Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), issued a statement strongly condemning the ongoing field executions carried out by Israeli soldiers on military roadblocks across the occupied West Bank, especially when the soldiers refuse to allow medical treatment to wounded Palestinians, who eventually bled to death.
Middle East Eye has confirmed that the video is authentic. One of the men then appears to kick an item out of reach. He posted a picture of a knife on asphalt.
The Palestinian health ministry said a woman shot at Qalandia had died.
Soldiers attacked Palestinians attempting to cross the checkpoint with pepper spray and closed down the checkpoint in both directions.
Israeli has been criticized for its reflexive use of lethal force and "extrajudicial killings" when Palestinian alleged attackers no longer pose an immediate threat.
PA officials did not immediately provide further details on her. The Jordan Valley accounts for 60 percent of the West Bank's territory, and has been under full Israeli control since the signing of the Oslo Accords in the early 1990s.
