Samsung Galaxy Fold to go on sale on Friday

Galaxy Fold Launches in South Korea This Friday; U.S. Launch in 'Coming Weeks'

Samsung Galaxy Fold to be launched on 6 September

In addition to these structural improvements, Samsung also managed to reduce the gap between the Fold's hinge and body so it isn't as thick when closed as it was before. The colors available would be Cosmos Black and Space Silver.

Additional metal layers have been added under the display to make it sturdier and less prone to denting.

As we get closer to the re-launch of Samsung's Galaxy Fold in the United States, the company has canceled all existing preorders.

The device, Samsung tells us, is much tougher than the version before it, which was quick to suffer screen borkage that lead to its release being delayed by five months; the Fold was originally supposed to hit shelves in April following its debut at MWC.

With so many concerns about the Fold, Samsung was forced to delay the release although fans can now look forward to it arriving in shops later this month.

Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman said his Galaxy Fold started operating abnormally after he removed the film and eventually became unusable.

It also has a "Multi-Active-Window" for stronger multi-tasking, with the 7.3-inch screen divided into two or three parts. Samsung improved the screen and hinges, and also added end caps to the top and bottom of the display to prevent dust from getting inside the phone.

As of now, the Samsung Galaxy Fold is tipped to launch in India on September 27.

By early July, Samsung Electronics CEO DJ Koh admitted that he pushed through the Galaxy Fold before it was ready. It will feature 512GB storage, 12GB RAM, and support 5G network of SK Telecom, KT Corp, and LG Uplus. On the rear side, you get a triple camera setup which includes a 12-megapixel wide-angle lens with dual aperture.

The release of the almost $2,000 (£1,634) device in April was postponed after early reviewers reported broken screens. In the meantime, would you be interested in buying a Galaxy Note 10 edition geared towards cryptocurrency outside of South Korea?

The Samsung Galaxy Fold is an exciting device, and it is beautifully engineered.

"Consumers have responded positively to larger screens, and the Samsung Galaxy Fold's revolutionary form factor offers a bigger, more immersive screen without sacrificing portability". Now, we're excited to release this pioneering mobile technology, and allow consumers to experience it for themselves.
