"Let the f-ing ch--s live there".

The video was initially reported by Variety after freelance writer Seth Simons brought it to their attention. In addition to what Gillis says in the clips, he also laughs and engages with the other comedian when he talks about how Chinese food is "dishonest" and full of chemicals, and sexualizes Asian women. According to Gillis' website, the "Matt and Shane's Secret Podcast" is available on iTunes.

The backlash has been swift and intense, with many on social media calling for Gillis' firing.

Chloe Fineman, Shane Gillis and Bowen Yang will all appear in the new season of the long-running NBC sketch comedy series.

In addition to hilariously impersonating public figures including Elizabeth Holmes, Timothée Chalamet and Lindsay Lohan for her almost 65,000 Instagram followers, Chloe Fineman is a veteran of The Groundlings, a Los Angeles-based improv and sketch comedy troupe which counts Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig among its alumni, and she was named a New Face at the 2018 Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal.

Representatives for Gillis and NBC had not returned calls for comment by press time.

News of the new cast members comes approximately two weeks after it was announced that Leslie Jones would be exiting the series after five seasons. Outside of Studio 8H, he co-hosts the "Las Culturistas" podcast, and has earned fans through oddball videos featuring him expertly lip-syncing dialogue from movies and viral videos.
