According to various reports, multiple teams have already offered the Jaguars packages including a first-round pick for the All-Pro cornerback, but it's unclear how quickly a deal might materialize.
Jalen Ramsey was featured on Nate Burleson's podcast, "17 Weeks", to discuss what has led him to requesting a trade. Marrone reportedly didn't have anything to say Wednesday about Ramsey's trade request. "(He) would be willing from what I understand to pay him and make him the highest-paid cornerback in the National Football League as soon as he possibly can. My time is up here in Jacksonville.' I said, 'I want to ask for a trade'.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported that Ramsey could be traded as soon as the Friday after the Jaguars-Titans game.
Ramsey played every defensive snap and recorded nine tackles and a forced fumble before meeting with reporters after the 20-7 win.
Ramsey admitted that his frustration with Jacksonville's front office, and subsequent desire to leave, has "been building over a little bit of time". He also emphasized that he loves the city of Jacksonville and its fans.
"I was truly at peace, like I wasn't in a mindset of making a decision while I was angry", Ramsey said, per Garry Smits of The Florida Times Union. And I was very strict about that, because I did not want it to get out, and I didn't want to be a distraction.
According to ESPN, the source told Anderson that teams such as the Chiefs, Ravens, Vikings, Raiders, Eagles and Seahawks have all made inquiries, and nearly every team has at least placed a call. "But we have to do the right thing for the team". Marrone responded by getting in Ramsey's face and screaming. Ramsey described the locker room atmosphere as tough. Jalen Ramsey going to the Raiders will be a ideal deal and everyone will get their worth.
The latest incident was his sideline outburst Sunday with Marrone that was caught by CBS cameras during a 13-12 loss at Houston.
"He just said, 'We'll see what happens".
