Forster passed away in Los Angeles on Friday surrounded by his family, his long-time publicist Kathie Berlin told CNN. Over 100 film and television appearances later, the actor became one of the most respected figures in the industry. He recently featured in an action crime drama film which hit screens in the USA on Friday (12th October). Forster starred in movies with legendary actors like Elizabeth Taylor and Marlon Brando, with his career simmering down in the early 1990s.
Condolences poured in Friday night on social media. Sadly, his death comes on the very day that El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie premiered on Netflix, where he reprised his role as Ed, a vacuum salesman with deep connections to the criminal underground.
"I never forgot how kind and generous he was to a young kid just starting out in Hollywood", Cranston wrote in the tweet. "Everything you do in life is superfluous compared to that", he said in the Tribune interview. I met him on the movie Alligator (pic) 40 years ago, and then again on BB.
Six months later, Tarantino would present him the script for Jackie Brown in the very same establishment.
"And that's when I realized I was going to get another shot at a career", Forster said. Thank you for loving me.
The award eventually went to Robin Williams for his role in Good Will Hunting.
According to Variety, Forster is survived by partner Denise Grayson and his four children and four grandchildren. He has two more projects scheduled to be released this year, Steven Spielberg's Amazing Stories and Werewolf.
