Real Madrid willing to pay for Eriksen

Tottenham Hotspur fans react to latest reports about Christian Eriksen

Real Madrid want Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen in January window

Marca are reporting that Real Madrid are willing to pay a fee of around £25 million in order to sign Denmark global during the January transfer window.

Christian Eriksen of Tottenham Hotspur looks on during the Premier League match between Brighton & Hove Albion and Tottenham Hotspur at American Express Community Stadium on October 05, 2019 in Brighton, United Kingdom.

Throughout the whole summer, the Danish worldwide was being linked with a move to the Bernabéu, but in the end, Zidane's men signed another huge player on their wishlist: Eden Hazard.

As per Spanish outlet AS, Madrid want to sign Eriksen as they feel that they can not sign Manchester United's Paul Pogba or Ajax's Donny van de Beek in the January transfer window.

Now that Hazard is a Madrid player, Real have now set their sights on the Tottenham player.

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is at war with president Florentino Perez over transfer targets as both have different way-outs to their midfield crisis, according to report in ESPN.

Eriksen is in the final year of his contract with Spurs and is seen as a more financially viable option for Real, particularly after United priced the LaLiga giants out of a deal for Pogba in August.

With Eriksen having shown no indication he is willing to extend his deal at the club, Spurs are likely to sanction his sale in January rather than risk losing him on a free transfer in the summer.
