Google will unveil the Pixel 4 next week, and the press conference promises to be incredibly tiresome to anyone familiar with all the Pixel 4 rumors and leaks so far.

With the next Made by Google event taking place next Tuesday, it seemed that Pixel fans would be disappointed once again by Google's decision not to release a Pixel Watch.

That's according to Japanese news site Nikkei Asian Review, which says an industry source told the publication that Google is testing a 5G handset that will be shown off at the October 15 event alongside the two new phones, a smartwatch and a notebook.

On top of that, the Pixel 4 will pack an incredibly advanced version of Google Assistant that's unlike anything seen on Siri, or on Google Assistant on other devices. But today's news flash out of Japan contradicts those who have been calling for another year to pass before a Google Pixel Watch surfaces. Vietnam is one such solution, the report notes. Even still, Google would beat Apple to market with a 5G phone. The sources didn't pin down release timing - the phone will either be announced alongside the regular Pixel 4 and 4 XL next week or in Spring 2020 with "a budget Pixel phone" (presumably the Pixel 4a). This means that a 5G Pixel 4, or Pixel 4 XL is/are in the cards.
