Chelsea storm back for 4-4 draw with Ajax

Kante in training

Kante has made just six appearances this season including five starts

Kante has made just six appearances for Chelsea this season and has missed their last five games after his previous comeback was curtailed by a groin injury picked up on worldwide duty with France.

After missing five games for the Blues, he returned to training on Monday and is in consideration for the visit of Dutch champions Ajax to Stamford Bridge.

After the Ajax clash, Chelsea must travel to Valencia, before finishing the group stage at home to Lille and there is still plenty of work to be done.

Chelsea have received a massive boost ahead of their second Champions League group game against Ajax with the news that midfielder N'Golo Kante is fit and available for selection.

Chelsea played host to Ajax on Tuesday evening as they looked to cement a place atop of Group H.

Frank Lampard has a number of players who are recovering from injuries but if luck favours him them the big names might make a comeback vs the Amsterdam side this week.

The recent defeat to Chelsea ended Ajax's great unbeaten run of 6 matches without a loss, but their away form still remains intact as the visitors are unbeaten in their last 13 matches on their travels in this competition. Only two managers have lost none of their first eight away games in the competition - Louis van Gaal (first 14 games) and Pep Guardiola (first 11 games). We just need to keep getting better and better, which is what we've shown over the last couple of weeks.

Michy Batshuayi scored a 86th-minute victor to secure three points and hoist Chelsea FC to the top of Group H.

Christian Pulisic has scored four times in two Premier League games, while Tammy Abraham has netted nine goal in the Premier League this term.

Jorginho levelled things up with a penalty, but Quincy Promes and Arrizabalaga's mistake allowed Ajax to take a commanding half-time lead. Ajax went 2-1 and 3-1 ahead on a pair of sensational goals - the kind we've come to expect from the young side, even if one technically went down as an own goal - before halftime.

One other victory over Ajax would nudge them three factors clear on the high, however it received't be an easy tussle at Stamford Bridge.
