It's been a few days since Keanu Reeves walked the red carpet in Los Angeles with longtime collaborator, artist Alexandra Grant, and the interwebs still isn't over it - mainly because, brace yourself, Reeves, 55, and Grant, 46, held hands. Reeves wrote poetry for Ode To Happiness and Grant contributed the visual art for both books. Keanu Reeves was spotted holding hands with artist Alexandra Grant at the LACMA Art + Film Gala. "He is extremely happy and grateful to have Alex in his life".
ET last caught up with Reeves in September as he dished on the highly-anticipated upcoming Matrix 4 movie.
Alexandra Grant (L) and Keanu Reeves attend the 2019 LACMA Art + Film Gala Presented By Gucci at LACMA in Los Angeles, Calif., on November 2, 2019. Reeves hasn't gone public with a girlfriend since his last serious relationship with Jennifer Syme, who died in a auto accident in 2001.
Speaking to The Guardian this year about his character's experience of grief in in John Wick, he said: "Well, for the character and in life, it's about the love of the person you're grieving for, and any time you can keep company with that fire, it is warm".
The story of Reeves and Grant's relationship began in 2009 once they met at a cocktail party. Grant is an American artist based in LA, who has studied at Swarthmore College and the California College of Arts. The pair reunited for the sequel, Shadows, in 2016, and founded a publishing house, X Artists' Books. Rumors that they were in a relationship gained traction recently after they attended the MOCA Benefit together in May and Saint Laurent's fashion show in June.
